Marcus vs Crawf — Week 2

Let's talk about obscene. Marcus put up 196.5 in Week 1 behind a two-headed monster in the backfield — Kenneth Walker III (36.1) and Jahmyr Gibbs (35.6) both going nuclear in the same lineup, with Lamar Jackson chipping in a cool 30 and Zay Flowers adding 28 for good measure. The only blemish was Rome Odunze no-showing his 12.7 projection with a measly 7.2. When your "bust" still catches a football, you're having a good week.

Crawf's Week 1 was no fluke either — 152.6 points and a win, powered by Caleb Williams torching the box score for 41.3 and Justin Jefferson adding 31.2 of his own, with CeeDee Lamb (15.4) and the Jaguars D/ST (15.0) rounding it out nicely. The one sour note: Colston Loveland goose-egged it at 0.0 against a 12.3 projection, which is the kind of TE line that makes you double-check your lineup before kickoff.

Series is knotted at 1-1, so no bragging rights on the table — just two guys who both looked scary good in Week 1. My money (pure opinion, don't @ me) says Marcus's twin-RB nuke plant is the harder act to follow than Crawf's Caleb-and-Jefferson show, but if Loveland shakes off the zeros and Bhayshul Tuten stays upright, Crawf's got the juice to make this one close. Buckle up.

Chengy vs Meek — Week 2

Chengy walked away from Week 1 with 125.6 points and a loss to Marcus, and honestly, the box score reads like a heist gone half-right. Jaxson Dart went off for 32.6 and Jonathan Taylor added 25.1, but the supporting cast no-showed — Brandon Aubrey was projected for 10.1 and delivered a measly 1.0, the kind of kicker collapse that turns a competitive week into a footnote. 125.6 won't scare anybody in Week 2.

Meek, meanwhile, is strutting in off a 176.6-109.1 demolition of Crock, and the stat line is borderline unfair: Derrick Henry (37.3) and D'Andre Swift (34.4) both went nuclear in the same lineup, with Jalen Hurts chipping in 30.7 for good measure. Even Ja'Marr Chase's ugly 3.2-point dud (on a 20.7 projection) couldn't slow the freight train. When your bust barely dents a 176-point outing, that's a scary sign for whoever's up next — which, this week, is Chengy.

History says this is close — Meek holds an 9-8 series edge across 17 meetings, so nothing's been easy between these two. But my gut (purely opinion, don't @ me) says Meek's balanced buzzsaw rolls again unless Chengy's studs — Dart and Taylor — go supernova and someone finally remembers Aubrey can, in fact, kick a football. Book it as a "Meek favored, Chengy praying" special.

Frost vs Dez — Week 2

Frost strolled into Week 1 with Ashton Jeanty going off for 34.7 and Dallas Goedert chipping in 23.7, plus Breece Hall's 21.8 — and still walked away with an L, 126.2-152.6 to Crawf. Why? Matthew Stafford no-showed with a putrid 4.1 against a 22.5 projection. That's not a bad week, that's a QB slot lit on fire while the running backs tried to put it out.

Dez, meanwhile, had the exact formula flipped — David Montgomery (28.9) and Jaxon Smith-Njigba (28.2) turned in monster stat lines, Javonte Williams added 24.2, and Jayden Daniels chipped in a tidy 21.7 to power a 158.3-143.6 win over Manny. The only blemish was Terry McLaurin cratering to 3.4 on a 12.6 projection — but when three other guys are dragging you across the finish line, one dud gets buried in the box score.

So here's the storyline heading into Week 2: Frost needs Stafford to remember he's a $22-a-game arm and not a $4 typo, while Dez just needs literally anything close to last week's balanced buffet to run it back. History says Frost holds the head-to-head edge overall, but recent form says Dez is rolling and Frost is nursing a one-man malfunction. My genuinely unqualified opinion? I like Dez to make it two straight — unless Stafford wakes up angry, in which case this flips fast.

Beav vs Manny — Week 2

Beav rolled into Week 1 like he owned the building, torching Devion 169.0 to 108.8 behind a preposterous Josh Allen line (42.7!) and Amon-Ra St. Brown adding 28.7 on top. Even the Steelers D/ST chipped in 20 points, because apparently everybody showed up except Saquon Barkley, who no-showed his 18.3 projection and limped in with a measly 9.0. Still, when your bust only costs you single digits and your stud QB drops 42, that's a get-right week for the ages.

Manny's Week 1 was the opposite kind of story — a shootout he lost by the length of a Marvin Harrison Jr. dud. Bijan Robinson (31.3) and Chris Olave (30.2) both balled out, Nico Collins chipped in 21.2, and Joe Burrow was steady at 16.2, but it added up to 143.6 — not enough to catch Dez's 158.3. The killer: Harrison Jr. was projected for 11.8 and delivered a ghostly 4.3, the kind of bust that turns a competitive loss into "if only."

So this week it's a red-hot offense riding a 42-point Josh Allen high against a team that scored plenty but still walked away 0-1 with a sixth-round rookie WR headache. My purely-for-fun read: unless Harrison Jr. or the Marvin-sized hole in that Manny lineup fixes itself fast, Beav's got the mojo here — book it as a lean, not a lock.

Crock vs Devion — Week 2

Two Week 1 disasters, one Week 2 stage. Crock dropped 109.1 and still lost by a cool 67 points to Meek, but the tape wasn't all bad — Christian Watson went nuclear for 34.7, Dak Prescott quietly cooked for 18.4, and Garrett Wilson chipped in 13.9. The bruise on that box score: George Pickens turned a 15.2 projection into a limp 5.8, the kind of bust that makes you stare at your lineup card and question your life choices.

Devion's Week 1 was basically the mirror image — 108.8 points, still a loss, this time to Beav's 169.0. DJ Moore (23.0) and Bucky Irving (20.3) actually balled out, and Drake Maye chipped in a respectable 11.8, but Omarion Hampton was an unmitigated disaster, cratering from an 18.1 projection to a measly 8.3. Two rounds two, two different backfields, same result: buried by an opponent who simply had a bigger night.

So here's the storyline — both of these guys put up nearly identical scores (109.1 vs 108.8) and got run over anyway. Whoever fixes their bust problem first probably wins this one. My money, purely as opinion, says Crock's Watson-fueled ceiling and Dak's arm give him a slight edge if Pickens even remembers how to play tight end coverage-beating football — but if Hampton bounces back to anything resembling that draft capital, Devion could flip the script fast.
