Crawf vs Devion — Week 8

Matchup Preview · Week 8 · 2026 · Oct 29, 2026

Crawf rolled into Week 7 like a freight train, dropping 146.2 on Crock behind a legit career day — Caleb Williams torched for 29.1, Luther Burden III popped for 25.7, CeeDee Lamb added 24.4, and Braelon Allen chipped in 21.4. The only hiccup was Justin Jefferson no-showing his 19.1 projection with a quiet 8.4. Now the twist: the guy who just threw for a 29-point week, Caleb Williams, is parked on Crawf's bench in Week 8 in favor of Trevor Lawrence. That's either genius roster management or a self-inflicted flesh wound — we'll find out together.

Devion's story reads the opposite direction. Tony Pollard went off for a ridiculous 38.5, Drake Maye threw for 34.4, and Bucky Irving chipped in 26.0 — three studs combining for nearly 99 points — and Devion STILL lost 133.5-142.3 to Chengy, torpedoed by a Spencer Shrader special: 1.3 points on a 9.9 projection. That's not a bust, that's a crime scene. And yet Devion is marching the exact same core — Maye, Pollard, Irving, Wilson, even poor Shrader — right back out there this week, which either means supreme confidence or a refusal to learn from trauma.

So here's the Week 8 setup: Crawf benches his hottest arm and leans on Lamb, Jefferson (due for revenge), and a banged-up Burden, while Devion runs it back with the guys who nearly got there last week, kicker included. My completely unofficial opinion? If Shrader goes nuclear again, Devion's in trouble regardless of what Pollard does. Fantasy football — never stops being hilarious.

Chengy vs Manny — Week 8

Matchup Preview · Week 8 · 2026 · Oct 29, 2026

Chengy rolls into this one riding a 142.3-133.5 win over Devion, powered by Jameson Williams going nuclear for 26.1 points and a Josh Jacobs-Jonathan Taylor backfield combo (20.1 and 19.0) that did the heavy lifting. The only blemish was Aaron Rodgers no-showing his own projection, limping to 15.1 when he was lined up for 25.2 — and yet Chengy still won comfortably. That's the kind of game that should scare people: the floor was a QB bust and the scoreboard still read like a blowout.

Manny, meanwhile, is licking wounds after a 115.4-144.5 loss to Marcus despite Joe Burrow going off for a ridiculous 36.9 points. Bijan Robinson chipped in a solid 17.2, but everything after that cratered — Nico Collins turned a 17.2 projection into a gut-punch 2.6, and that math simply doesn't survive a 144-point outburst from the other side. Burrow carrying a team to a loss is the fantasy equivalent of dropping 50 in a game you still lose.

Here's the twist for Week 8: Manny's entire supporting cast from that near-miss is vanishing. Nico Collins, Chris Olave, and even kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn are all on bye, meaning the only real holdovers from last week's near-upset are Burrow and Bijan — a two-man show against Chengy's fully loaded attack, where Jameson Williams, Jonathan Taylor, Jacobs, and even the slumping Rodgers are all active and looking for revenge on that stat line. On paper and recent form, this smells like Chengy's game to lose — but if Burrow repeats anything close to 36.9, this could get spicy fast. Call it: Chengy in a track meet, with Manny's defense (then offense) needing Burrow to go full superhero again just to keep it interesting.

Beav vs Meek — Week 8

Matchup Preview · Week 8 · 2026 · Oct 29, 2026

Two straight gut-punch losses collide this week. Beav put up 122 and still lost to Dez's 151.7, with Amon-Ra St. Brown going off for 26.2 and Kyren Williams chipping in 18.1 — but the whole thing got torpedoed by Jalen Coker's inexcusable 1.9-point faceplant on a 15.9 projection. Meek's sting is even worse: 155.8 points and a loss, falling to Frost by a single tenth of a point (155.9) despite Trey McBride (29.1) and Tee Higgins (28.8) both going nuclear. The killer for Meek was Derrick Henry cratering to 5.9 on a 19.0 projection.

Now the lineup decisions get interesting. Beav is marching Jalen Coker right back into the starting lineup this week — brave, or stubborn, you decide — while benching Kyler Murray (15.9 last week) and Saquon Barkley (15.1 last week) entirely. That's either a savvy numbers play or Beav tossing two guys who actually produced to ride with the guy who didn't. Meanwhile Meek is doing the opposite gamble: sticking with Derrick Henry again after the bust week, and he'll have to do it without C.J. Stroud, who torched for 20.5 last week but is on bye and contributes zero this week.

My opinion only: Meek's top end (Chase, McBride, Higgins, Henry if he bounces back) still looks scarier on paper than Beav's, especially with Coker penciled back in as a question mark. But fantasy football loves chaos, and Beav just watched two bench bats outscore his flex — don't be shocked if that bench/start logic flips again in Week 8. Either way, somebody's riding home with a losing taste in their mouth for a second straight week, and that always makes for a nervier Sunday.

Crock vs Dez — Week 8

Matchup Preview · Week 8 · 2026 · Oct 29, 2026

Crock limped out of Week 7 on the wrong side of a track meet, dropping 122.3 to Crawf's 146.2 despite Dak Prescott torching the box score for 29.3 and Christian McCaffrey chipping in 22.0. Blake Corum (17.1) and George Pickens (15.7) did their part too, but the Panthers D/ST face-planted for -3.0 against an 8.6 projection and buried the whole effort. Dez, meanwhile, was busy throwing haymakers — 151.7 points in a win over Beav, powered by Jaxon Smith-Njigba's absurd 33.3 and Javonte Williams (23.5) and Tre Tucker (23.3) turning in full-value weeks. Only Isaiah Likely no-showed, limping to 3.2 on a 14.6 projection.

Here's the twist nobody saw coming on the Crock side: the guy who just dropped 22.0 is unavailable. McCaffrey's on bye, so Crock rolls into Week 8 without his most reliable scorer from last week, leaning instead on Dak, A.J. Brown, Garrett Wilson, Pickens and Corum to pick up the slack — and yes, the Panthers D/ST is somehow starting again after that disaster, which either means revenge game or repeat offender. Dez's lineup shuffle is its own soap opera: Jared Goff dropped 25.0 last week and still gets benched in favor of Jayden Daniels, while JSN, Javonte Williams and Tucker all stick around to try to run it back.

My completely biased, zero-guarantee opinion: Dez's receiving corps looks live enough to make this one uncomfortable for Crock, especially with McCaffrey sitting in street clothes. But Crock's got the championship pedigree and a stacked WR room that can erupt in a hurry — if Dak plays anywhere close to last week's pace, this could come down to whichever D/ST actually remembers how to play defense.

Frost vs Marcus — Week 8

Matchup Preview · Week 8 · 2026 · Oct 29, 2026

Frost is riding the high wire into Week 8, having survived a 155.9-155.8 knife fight with Meek last week. Matthew Stafford (23.5) and Rhamondre Stevenson (22.5) carried the load, with Puka Nacua (21.8) and Ashton Jeanty (21.6) right behind them — a four-headed monster that barely got Frost over the line. The only hiccup was J.K. Dobbins face-planting at 8.3 points on a 13.9 projection, proof that even a win this tight leaves scars.

Marcus, meanwhile, strolled to a 144.5-115.4 win over Manny behind Zay Flowers' absolute explosion — 29.7 points — plus a tidy 21.0 from Jordan Love and matching 19.3s from Jahmyr Gibbs and Ollie Gordon II. The one sour note: Kenneth Walker III no-showed at 9.7 on a 19.7 projection. Funny thing is, Walker's starting again this week at a juicy 20.6 projected — so either Marcus trusts last week was a blip, or he's about to get burned twice by the same stove.

Here's the real headline buried in Marcus's lineup card, though: Lamar Jackson is glued to the bench with a 26.8 projection while Jordan Love — fresh off that 21.0 — gets the start. That's either supreme confidence in hot hands or a lineup decision begging to be second-guessed on the league group chat Monday morning. Frost has his own version of that gamble, parking Breece Hall (15.9 projected) in favor of the group that just squeaked out a win. Head-to-head, Frost owns this series 2-0, and on paper neither sat starter inspires more faith than what's already in the lineup — my money (opinion, not fact) says Frost's floor of proven scorers edges out Marcus's QB roulette.
