Crawf vs Manny — Week 9

Matchup Preview · Week 9 · 2026 · Nov 3, 2026

Crawf rolls into Week 9 riding a 178.2-157.5 beatdown of Devion, and it was a run-game clinic — Bhayshul Tuten exploded for 31.9, Braelon Allen chipped in 25.3, and Jonah Coleman added 20.4, with Trevor Lawrence tossing in a tidy 25.4 of his own. The only sour note was CeeDee Lamb no-showing his 20.8 projection with a pedestrian 12.8. Funny thing, though: Allen — one of last week's three RBs who popped — is glued to the BELT BOYZ bench this week, and Travis Etienne Jr. is OUT entirely, so Crawf is leaning hard on a QUESTIONABLE Tuten and a QUESTIONABLE Luther Burden III to keep that ground attack humming.

Manny, meanwhile, snuck past Chengy 126.6-120.1 almost entirely off the arm of Joe Burrow, who torched the box score for a ridiculous 53.5 points while everyone else quietly chipped in (Hockenson 15.8, McMillan 11.8, Kelce 11.7). The glaring problem was Bijan Robinson, a preseason stud who face-planted to 7.6 points against a 20.8 projection — that's about as hard a bust as you'll see from a first-round price tag. The good news for Manny: that whole supporting cast — Burrow, Hockenson, McMillan, Kelce, plus Bijan himself — is all locked and loaded in the starting lineup again this week.

So here's the matchup in a nutshell: Crawf's offense is banking on backfield depth that just got thinner (Allen benched, Etienne out) while hoping two question marks play through it; Manny's counting on his MVP quarterback to go nuclear again, and desperately needs Bijan to remember he's a 20-point-a-week back and not whatever that was last Sunday. My money (purely for entertainment purposes) says whoever's "name" player has the better game — Burrow's ceiling or Lawrence's floor — probably decides this one. Book it, or don't, I'm just a columnist.

Frost vs Chengy — Week 9

Matchup Preview · Week 9 · 2026 · Nov 3, 2026

Both of these squads are nursing Week 8 hangovers. Frost's Trap House put up 93.6 and still lost to Marcus 116.2, with Puka Nacua going nuclear for 25.0 and Jaylen Waddle chipping in 14.9, but Drake London no-showed with a brutal 1.8 on an 18.7 projection. Chengy's Happy Endings actually scored 120.1 and still fell to Manny 126.6, riding Josh Jacobs' 23.2 and Geno Smith's 22.0 while Aaron Rodgers face-planted for a flat zero against a 19.0 projection.

Here's the twist: Frost is running it back with basically the same cast — Nacua, Waddle, Ashton Jeanty and Rhamondre Stevenson are all penciled in again, and so is London, meaning Frost is either about to get redemption or about to get burned twice by the same bust. Over on Chengy's side, the engine room of Jacobs, Rashee Rice and Jameson Williams returns too, but it's Patrick Mahomes under center this week instead of Geno Smith — a real changing of the guard at QB for Happy Endings heading into this one.

My completely unprovable opinion: London finally wakes up and gives Frost a jolt, while Chengy's new-look passing attack takes a week to find its rhythm. Call it Trap House by a field goal — but any week either of these benches implodes again, I will absolutely be back here saying "told you so."

Marcus vs Meek — Week 9

Matchup Preview · Week 9 · 2026 · Nov 3, 2026

Marcus strolled into Week 8 looking like a reigning champ should, dropping 116.2 on Frost behind a monster night from Brock Bowers (28.2) and a Jahmyr Gibbs masterclass (26.8), with Jaylen Warren chipping in 23.3 for good measure. The only blemish was Lamar Jackson's historic no-show — a zero on a 26.8 projection, which is the fantasy equivalent of ordering a steak and getting an empty plate. The good news for Marcus: Lamar's OUT again this week, so there's no sequel to worry about. Jordan Love steps into the lineup instead, and Gibbs/Walker both profile as the engine room again.

Meek, meanwhile, didn't just win Week 8, he detonated — 249.9 points behind a ridiculous Tee Higgins explosion (39.5), Kirk Cousins throwing darts for 34.2, and Ja'Marr Chase going off for 33.1. Even Derrick Henry's "bust" line of 14.0 would be most people's season high. That's as complete a beatdown as this data block has shown all year, and Meek brings basically the same airstrike into Week 9 — Chase, Higgins, Cousins and Henry are all starting again, though DeVonta Smith is OUT and won't be walking through that door.

Head-to-head, Meek's already up 2-1 in this series, and on recent form it's not hard to see why bettors (if this were a real book) would lean his way again — 249.9 is a different stratosphere than 116.2. But Marcus has a trophy from last year for a reason, and if Gibbs and Walker both hit their current workhorse marks while Bowers stays hot, this could get a lot closer than the box score from last week suggests. Pure opinion here: I think Meek's ceiling is scarier, but Marcus has just enough RB firepower to make it a sweat.

Crock vs Beav — Week 9

Matchup Preview · Week 9 · 2026 · Nov 3, 2026

Crock rolled into Week 9 fresh off a 125.4 beatdown of Dez, and the engine behind it is still humming. Harold Fannin Jr. torched everybody for 25.4, Dak Prescott cruised to 21.8, and Christian Watson chipped in 19.3 — all three are locked back into the lineup this week. The one sour note was George Pickens no-showing his 14.3 projection with a 6.8 dud, and he's starting again, so Crock is either due for revenge game or riding the same rollercoaster twice.

Beav, meanwhile, put up a very respectable 150.5 and still got smoked by Meek's 249.9 — sometimes the house just wins. Josh Allen was a monster (30.6) and Tyler Bass quietly clubbed 15.9 points as a kicker, which is the kind of stat that should never happen but here we are. The bad news: Steelers D/ST, who dropped 20.0 last week, is on bye, and Tucker Kraft (17.3) is benched this week despite the big outing — Beav's two best complementary pieces from Week 8 are both unavailable to repeat the trick. Harrison Butker's 0.0 disaster didn't even make this week's roster, so at least that bleeding's stopped.

On paper this one's a coin flip — Crock's 166.8 projected total versus Beav's 169.0 — but Crock's stars are all active and rolling while Beav is replacing two key scorers with question marks. My money (not a fact, just vibes) says Crock's continuity edges out Beav's Allen-and-pray approach this week.

Dez vs Devion — Week 9

Matchup Preview · Week 9 · 2026 · Nov 3, 2026

Two straight losers collide, and somebody's skid finally has to end. Dez got torched 92.5-125.4 by Crock last week despite Jaxon Smith-Njigba going off for 25.8 and Jayden Daniels chipping in 17.0, because Javonte Williams no-showed a 20.9-point projection with a measly 6.7. Devion's sheet looked a lot prettier on paper — 157.5 points, with Tony Pollard (30.7), Michael Wilson (28.8) and Drake Maye (26.5) all popping — and he STILL lost, because Crawf dropped 178.2 on him. That's the kind of week that makes you wonder if the fantasy gods just hate this league's left side of the bracket.

The lineup cards tell the real story for Week 9. Dez is bailing on Daniels for Jared Goff at QB and still trotting Javonte Williams back out there to answer for last week's dud — bold, or desperate, you decide. Meanwhile Devion loses his two headline acts from last week: Pollard's on bye and Jeremiyah Love (already last week's bust at 2.3 points) is OUT again, so don't expect either to bail him out this time. He's leaning on Maye, James Cook III and Bucky Irving to replace that lost production.

Devion owns this series 7-2 all-time, and his roster's floor still looks sturdier than Dez's week-to-week boom-or-bust approach. But both of these guys just got stomped, so my money (purely an opinion, nobody panic) says whoever's Javonte-or-Love gamble hurts less walks away with the squeaker.
