The storyEvery league needs a resume that reads like a Wikipedia "Career" tab, and Meek's is exactly that. Nine seasons, one Lombardi-shaped trophy in 2021, a runner-up finish in 2018, and an all-time record of 88-61 that's padded with a points-per-game average (135.8) most owners would sell a bench spot for. This isn't a cautionary tale. This is a résumé.
The story starts rough — "Im Winning Next Year" in 2017 finished a very on-brand 10th, complete with a franchise-worst 63.0-point implosion in Week 10. But by 2018, "Mangekyou Sharingan" had rattled off a ridiculous 12-1 regular season, the best in Meek lore, only to fall one step short and settle for runner-up. Meek clearly filed that under "unfinished business," because three years later The Akatsuki finished the job — a 10-4 campaign, a 1-seed, and the 2021 championship banner that still hangs over everything else on this résumé.
The peaks got weird after that. 2023's "Pain" squad nearly ran it back with a 9-5 record and a 3rd-place finish, while 2025's ironically-named "Heel Meek" put up a strong 10-4 record but still only good for 6th — proof that in this league, wins alone don't always buy you a parade. Sandwiched in there is the single gnarliest week of the whole run: a 101.5-point demolition of Crock in 2021 that's still the biggest margin in Meek history, immediately followed on the flip side by a soul-crushing 104.0-point beatdown at the hands of Chengy in 2024. Fantasy football giveth, fantasy football taketh.
If there's a house Meek owns, it's Crock's — a 14-6 all-time record across 20 meetings, the single most-played and most-dominated matchup on the books. AJ isn't far behind, having gone 4-1 as Meek's favorite appetizer. Frost is the closest thing to a thorn in the side, the rare opponent holding a winning edge (10-7) over Meek across a hefty 17-game sample — the one true measuring-stick rival in the log.
Under the hood, the numbers back up the eye test: an all-play record of 743-598 and an expected-wins total of 82.6 against an actual 88 wins puts the "lucky" label on Meek's file — but nobody who watched Josh Allen (853.1 points, 30 starts) and Kyren Williams (675.4 points) anchor these rosters is going to call it undeserved luck. That's a QB1 and a bell-cow put together like a cheat code.
Nine years in, the ledger says it all: a champion, a two-time contender, a handful of middling seasons to keep things humble, and a franchise that's never once tasted the actual wooden spoon. Meek's story isn't finished — but it's already one of the sturdiest banners in Coulda Been Athletes history.
